The South Carolina Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) aids in helping to ensure an informed citizenry and increase transparency by providing ready access to public documents held by public bodies, officers, or employees and meetings where the business of the people is being conducted.

Black and White: $0.10 (per page) up to the prevailing commercial rate

Color Copies: $0.25 (per page) up to the prevailing commercial rate

A deposit of no more than twenty-five percent of the anticipated costs may be required prior to searching for or making copies of responsive records. The balance due of actual costs must be paid at the time of production. If actual costs are lower than the initial deposit, a refund will be issued.
